Emily Kate Naydeck (Kate), soprano, most recently performed with the Bronx Opera for their 50th Anniversary season as Nannetta/Falstaff and Anne Page/Sir John in Love. Upcoming performances include her debut as Musetta in La Bohème and an all-Italian Gala Concert for Long Island Opera's upcoming season, and featured in recital with the Catskills Music Festival this August. Some favorite roles include Zerlina/Don Giovanni with Undercroft Opera in Pittsburgh, where she "did some of the best singing and charming acting of the evening" (Pittsburgh in the Round); Ilia/Idomeneo, both Pamina and Papagena/Die Zauberflöte, and workong closely with composer Dominick Argento as Young Miss Havisham/Miss Havisham's Fire with the Maryland Opera Studio; The Rose/The Little Prince in its collegiate premiere with Ithaca College. Ms. Naydeck was a Caramoor Bel Canto Apprentice Artist, where she performed Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream and Rossini’s Ciro in Babilonia. Emily Kate received her Master’s degree with the Maryland Opera Studio at the University of Maryland, and her Bachelor’s degree at Ithaca College. She currently resides in New York City and studies with soprano Regina Zona.
